September Project founder Meredith Lucio begins training for the NYC Danskin Triathlon. Her goal: to raise money for September Project's 2006 charity and complete the race in under two hours. You can check her progress in the podcast My Inner Athlete.

September Project chooses Habitat for Humanity: New Orleans as the recipient charity for 2006.

Founder Meredith Lucio hosts "Celebrate New York" at the Knitting Factory in New York City for the New York Coalition Against Hunger. The event features a performance by "Coppermine", the work of artist Craig Anthony Miller, and raffle prizes by the best of New York including Oscar-winning actor Tim Robbins, Lulu Guinness, and Chelsea Piers.
